Things of the PAST

I was browsing through my archives and saw these photos. How I miss making my nitty gritty bags! My recent years have been focusing a lot on costumes that I hardly have time to sew any bags. I'll try to squeeze in time to do so as and when. Need to relive the good' ole days of bag making! 

Below are some of my proudest collection of fancy applique bags! Most of them are bought by foreigners during an event called the Bon Bon Bazaar held in Raffles City somewhere in 2003? I think!   

 The black an white floral is from my mom's stash - vintage! I love old and new combination. They tell stories and go places!

 I miss my pretty bags. Wherever they are, I hope they make the best day out of the person carrying it!

 I remember not having anything 'clean' enough as a background and have to use a patchwork of A4 printing paper as my backdrop. And that was the best I knew how and using a very simple digital camera. Simple & Nice!

 When I received my package of vintage plastic flowers bought from ebay, I was so happy that I had to make something somewhere using it. And here it is, as a pretty bag charm on this pretty bag!

Bid goodbye to The Exclusive

Hi all, just to inform you that The Exclusive has closed their doors in 2010. Although the stay was short but it has many sweet memories. So that post will always remain for good time's sake. :)

Thanks to all my supporters who came to buy & say 'Hi'. It was a blast for me! I enjoyed my evening making new friends and seeing familiar faces! Without you all, it wouldn't have been a meaningful night for me. I'll be working on some more pretty things to stock up for October's MAAD! See'ya all later!

Things that makes me SMILE

This adorable duckie lantern is a present from Sonja's uncle... aka my Brother aka 'jiu jiu'. We took it for a walk last evening to celebrate the Mid-autumn Feastival. Like the way the duckie wears a scarf and a matching cap... it's as if she's getting ready for Winter! Cutie!

This is such an pretty brolly! Got it at a steal from a shop in chinatown market. I was walking pass the area in search for a trim shop when this caught my attention. I have to have it! For Sonja to play... The quality is good and the prints are delicious! This brolly really make my entire yesterday! ;)

Hello there! I'm just full of joy! You can now find even more unique and quirky handmade pieces from nitty gritty at The Exclusive! This September is just so exciting for us! nitty gritty will be housed under this beautiful shop located at no. 19 Haji Lane (2nd Floor). Opening Hours are Mon - Fri, 3-9pm. Sat 12-9pm & Sun 1-8pm.

Fabric Selection for NEW Cotton Baby Shoes

These are the latest fabric chosen for my cotton baby shoes collection. I'm getting really busy making them together with some other projects... They should be available at Babywear mid September 2010.
